Authorities with the Northern Cambria Borough Police Department say a man is facing charges after he was accused of groping a woman at a local Giant Eagle store while she was working.

According to the affidavit, police say 65-year-old Timothy Depetro allegedly entered an "employee only" area of the store and inappropriately touched the woman while she was standing on a ladder.

Police say the woman stated that she reported the incident to the store's manager.

Investigators say the woman also claimed that the incident was reportedly witnessed by two other employees.

Police say the woman told officers that prior to the assault, which occurred in March, Depetro had allegedly been stalking her by repeatedly messaging her on Facebook and calling her work.

According to online court records, Depetro was arraigned this week on charges of misdemeanor indecent assault, disorderly conduct, stalking and harassment.

He was released on unsecured bail.

Editor's note: The third line of this article was corrected to note that the store's manager was contacted about the alleged incident. The wording of the affidavit erroneously alluded that that was not the case.
