Ophthalmic Associates prepares for JCBL season

JOHNSTOWN -- 6 Sports stopped by Roxbury Park Thursday evening to get an inside look at Ophthalmic Associates preparing for the upcoming JCL baseball season.

Manager Ken Ashbrook has spend 11 years in the league, 6 as a manager with OA. He believes due to the Coronavirus and the uniqueness this season presents, the league will be wide open with plenty of parody.

Ashbrook likes the 10 returning players he welcomes back, and is eager to see the quick impact his 11 first year players will have. Ophthalmic Associates will be a team formulated on defense and small ball, and Ashbrook feels if the team sticks to those strengths, they can be right at the top of the league at season's end.
