Motorcyclist Killed Hopping Curb, Crashing Into Pole In Howard County

Odenton resident Devinn Dwight Gleaton was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Jessup on Sunday, July 30, according to the Howard County Police Department.

At approximately 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, Gleaton was riding a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle east on Route 175 between Route 1 and Pocomoke Avenue when he lost control and went over a curb and into a pole.

It remains unclear what caused Gleaton to crash on Monday afternoon. He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. No other vehicles were involved.

The investigation into the fatal crash led to a closure of Route 175 for several hours, officials said.
