RICHLAND TOWNSHIP– A major bridal dress chain is reportedly closing all of its stores, including the one in Johnstown.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Alfred Angelo, a Florida based company, plans to file for bankruptcy protection. The unexpected closures have caused panic and anger for brides across the country.

A reporter for 6 News stopped by the Alfred Angelo store at 109 College Park Plaza in Richland Township Friday, where the lights were on, and the store was full of dresses.

But a sign was on the door that said “store closed” with an email address to write to for more information.

One store employee said she was unable to talk about the closures, but said that all products that have been ordered have been shipped to customers' homes.

Several local bride shops have said they are willing to help those affected by the closure.
